Coach Sherman played soccer and graduate from Brighton High School. He went on to play collegiate soccer at Nazareth College of Rochester and graduated with a BS degree in Art Education. He furthered his education by acquiring BS degrees in both Physical and Health Education and a Master's Degree in Physical Education. He coached and taught at middle and high school ranks for over 20 years, and has turned his focus to the college level. Ed is a member of the faculty at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he teaches in the Physical Education, Health and Wellness department. He will be starting his 7th season as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for RIT as well. The Rochester native has been a cornerstone in the area's soccer community nearly 25 years. He is the Director of Soccer Operations at three of the most popular indoor centers in Rochester - the Brighton Sports Zone, All Star Sports Arena and Turin Sports Dome.
Sherman, currently serves as the Director of coaching for the U10 Academies (boys and girls) for the Empire United Soccer Academy, the Premier Soccer Club of Rochester. Ed holds a USSF B coaching license and a NSCAA Advanced National license as well and a Coerver Coaching license just to name a few. He was a long time Olympic Development coach for over 8 years, Director of coaching for the Brighton Travel Soccer Club and is a personal trainer and clinician for many teams and clubs throughout the State. |
